What we Believe

  • God

There is only one living and true God. He is all powerful, infinite, eternal, holy, and good. He exists in three persons as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus

Jesus is God the Son. He came to Earth as a man. He is both fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose from the dead, thus defeating death for all mankind. He is currently in heaven with God the Father and will one day return in power and glory.

  • Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God the Spirit. He lives inside every follower of Christ, providing comfort and guidance for believers. He convicts men of sin and helps us in more ways than we understand.

  • Bible

The Bible is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It contains all we need in order to know God and live righteous lives.

  • Our Condition

Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but we have fallen to sin. There isn’t a person alive who hasn’t sinned; no one is perfect. Our sin has separated us from God. We can’t fix our sin problem and save ourselves; therefore, we need a Savior. That Savior is Jesus.

God made us with a nature that resembles His nature but not identical to His nature. We were created as holy, spiritual, rational, volitional, and immortal beings. This nature allows us to relate with God and others. Being made in His image we are also to represent Him to others.

  • Salvation

Salvation is received by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. It is a free gift offered by God to everyone and received by those who repent and believe. Salvation is impossible to be earned by doing good works or being a good person; it can only be received by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

  • Our Response

To accept the gift of salvation, we must believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, repent of our sins, and be baptized (immersed in water). We also must follow Jesus with our lives and actions.

  • Second Coming

Jesus will one day return. At that time everyone will be judged. Those who trust in themselves for salvation will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God. But those who trust in Jesus for salvation will live with Jesus.
