Pine Haven Camp offers a “not for elders only” leadership retreat as an adult camp August 21-23, 2016. This year’s theme is “Leading To The Mission.” The chief shepherd of the church is Jesus. Jesus has issued a mission and a vision for the church. Each one of us, no matter our “calling” or giftedness have been called and equipped to pursue completing The Mission. We are going to spend a couple of days realigning with The Mission. There will be prayer, there will be discussion, there will be interaction, there will be new relationships. Those things allow us to learn from one another, learn about others and learn about ourselves.
Discussions will be centered on biblical renewal of our focus upon prayer, the mission the body of Christ has been given, the four greatest values, how we set the mission in motion, the importance of unity and how to determine the “WIN.”
This retreat is for leaders. Leaders are people that have influence over others. There are none of us that do not have influence over othe
r people. How God has directed us to use that influence is of great importance.
This year Tim Ogle (teaching/preaching pastor of Litchfield Christian Church) has been asked to facilitate the retreat. Tim studied at Johnson University, served as youth minister, served as supervisor in Kentucky Baptist Homes For Children’s Wilderness Program, earned a B.S. in Leadership and Ministry at Williamson College, served 5 years in men’s ministry at Lakeshore Christian Church in Nashville, TN. He continues to study culture, leadership, follower-ship and the power of teams to do Kingdom work in the Body of Christ.
