Our Beliefs

  • There is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. These are equal and are one God. God created the world out of nothing and by his power he sustains all he has created (Gen. 1:26; John 1:1; Eph. 1:13-14).

  • God of heaven and earth. He made the plan for salvation before the foundations of the world and fulfilled it in his son Jesus. He is everlasting, all powerful, all knowing and his love never fails (Isa. 45:18; 1 Chron. 29:10-13; Eph. 1:4, 9-10).

  • Jesus is the Christ. Born of a virgin-fully God and Man. He lived a perfect life and laid down his life for his church by dying on the cross and three days later he rose from the dead in victory. By his death and resurrection, he is the one who takes away sins and now reigns at the right hand of God the Father (John 1:29; Gal. 4:4; Phil. 2:5-11; Rev. 5:9-14).

  • The Spirit convicts sinners that they may repent. The Spirit also fills the life of the believer, to empower them to share about Jesus and to turn their hearts to Jesus, changing us to look like and love like Jesus (Ezek. 36:26-28; Jn. 16:7-15; 1 Cor. 3:17-18; Gal. 5:22-23; Eph. 1:11-14).

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine. It reveals the truth of how one should live and brings renewed life to those who act in accordance with it (Ps. 119:105; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:19-21).

  • God created us to be holy and do good works. However, humanity has rebelled against God by sinning and therefore falls short of the glory of God. Our sin leaves us condemned and deserving death (Eph. 2:1-3, 10; 6:23).

Salvation is found in Jesus alone and is offered to all by grace through faith. A living faith is demonstrated through repentance, confession, baptism by immersion, and a life of obedience. (Rom 3:23; 5:12, Acts 2:38, Gal 3:26-29; Eph. 2:4-10).

  • Jesus calls us to live a new life set apart from the life of sin and to actively follow him (Rom. 6:1-4). The foundational aspects of the new life are:

    • Loving God and seeking first his kingdom (Matt.6:33; 22:36-37).

    • Loving one another as Jesus has loved us (John 15:12).

    • Actively serving Jesus by how we live our lives (Rom. 12:1-8; Eph. 2:10; 3:17).

    • Living in community regularly taking part in prayer, communion, biblical instruction, and Christian fellowship (Acts 2:42).

  • Jesus will return for his Church and will judge the living and the dead. Those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior will live in the new heavens and new earth in the presence of God forever. Those who have rejected Jesus will spend eternity in Hell (John 14:1-3; Rev. 20:12-15; 21:1–8).

Our Values

  • The Bible is our authority

We strive to follow the teachings and principles laid out in the Bible. We believe that the word of God can make us complete and ready to serve him

    (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  • Worship is our lifestyle

In all we do we strive to bring glory and honor to God. We seek to glorify God through sharing the news of his glory and goodness to others and singing praises to him

    (1 Chronicles 16:23-25a).

  • Prayer is our foundation

In all things we seek God’s guidance and blessing in prayer, knowing that God is faithful to provide for those who ask in faith according to his will

    (1 John 5:13-15).

  • Loving people is our passion

It is our intent to continually love those around us in real and tangible ways, following the example of Jesus, who laid down his own life out of his love for us

    (1 John 3:16-18).

  • Generosity is our attitude

We look to be a body of believers that finds joy in giving to and serving others in humility, seeing the resources (time, talents, money) God has given us as an opportunity to bless others

    (2 Corinthians 9:6-11).
